Last week St. John the Baptist School celebrated Right to Read Week. The theme this year was Open a Book and Explore the World! We were honored to have the author Barbara Coyle present to the students. She has written In the Land of Soon Come a children’s book about her religious journey to Jamaica. Every day last week we had a mystery reader and time for the students to read. Families/students were also encouraged to donate new and gentle-used books for Ethel Taylor Academy. Everyone was VERY generous. The total books collected in one week were 2,145!
